Cristie Stevens is a strategist, advocate, and problem solver! Through nearly three decades of service to clients in the mortgage industry, she has been a fearless advocate in reaching client goals through careful research, interpretative ability, and relationships with the lenders she represents.

Cristie has seen every facet of the mortgage profession – quickly noticing that her unique blend of client service and knowledge of finance would best serve a growing client base when she founded Cosmopolitan Funding Group only one year after entering the profession. The boutique-approach she developed was an incubator that has been a launch pad for a variety of successful top producing loan officers throughout the region.

Part of service to the consumer is an unwavering commitment to continuing education and professional development. She is the former president of Oregon’s statewide mortgage industry trade association and sat on the nationwide board which helped form many of the lending policies in tandem with elected officials that created forms and processes we use today. As part of that role, she has also testified before the Oregon State Legislature and the Federal Reserve Board’s unit that investigated the utility of what had been coined as “exotic loan products” that have been available in certain market segments for years. Her service also led her to become a noted expert on fraud and has lent her unique gifts of financial forensic analysis to FBI investigations.

However, no credentials replace Cristie’s goal of providing her clients with a superior experience in making one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. She relishes the opportunity to work with individuals of all types to create a sound financial platform that includes home ownership. Cristie often surprises clients by analyzing guidelines to appropriately advise her clients on issues related to affordability and how a mortgage loan can strengthen overall financial health.

Originally from a smaller community in Southern Oregon, Cristie makes her base of operations in both Portland and Arizona. She is the proud mother of two adult children, Zach and Adam, who share interests as diverse as the ones she has cultivated over the years. Her love of the outdoors, exploring, travel, and the arts keeps her focused on how to maximize client relationships that ultimately result in a constant call to reach new audiences with her desire to fortify all consumers with the tools they need for success in a path to home ownership.
